Using AutoFill
Passify implements support for the password AutoFill feature available in iOS. This feature allows you to quickly and safely populate login forms on your device directly from Passify without using the clipboard or manually typing in your passwords.
Configuring AutoFill on iOS
To enable Passify's support for AutoFill on iOS, you must enable it in your system settings:
-
Launch the iOS Settings application, swipe down and tap the item labeled "Passwords." On some iOS versions, this may be labeled as "Passwords & Accounts." iOS may prompt you to unlock your device.
- Tap "Password Options" or "AutoFill Passwords" (varies depending on iOS version)
- Tap the switch labeled "AutoFill Passwords" to enable the feature if it is not already
- Tap "Passify" to toggle a checkmark, which means that the feature has been enabled
Using AutoFill to Populate Password Fields
When you're ready to login and need a password:
- Tap the password field you wish to AutoFill.
- iOS will display the keyboard. If you've correctly enabled AutoFill, there will be a "Passwords" button directly above the keyboard.
- Tap the "Passwords" button above the keyboard. If you have multiple password managers, you will need to choose "Passify" when prompted.
- Passify will launch. Enter your Personal Secret as normal.
- Tap the Generator you need the password for.
- Tap the generated password and Passify will populate the field for you.
Easily Find Your Generator For convenience, Passify automatically filters your Generators based on the name or url of the website or application you launched AutoFill from. If none are displayed, you can either create a new Generator or tap the "X" to clear the filter and see all of your Generators.
AutoFilling UsernamesIf you have a username assigned to the generator, Passify will also try to AutoFill the username field for you.
