Clearing a 2-Factor Authentication Key

Under some circumstances, you may need to clear a previously set TOTP 2-Factor Authentication Key.

Erasing the 2FA Key will remove your ability to generate TOTP codes! Make sure you have disabled 2FA on the website or are using an alternate method of 2FA to prevent being locked out of your account.

To remove a 2-Factor Authentication Key for a Generator:

  1. Make sure you have disabled 2FA on the website for the Generator or are using an alternate method of 2FA
  2. In Passify, navigate to the Generator for the website and tap the "Edit" button
  3. Swipe down to the bottom of the Generator edit page and tap the "Erase 2-Factor Auth Key" button
  4. Passify will confirm your action and then remove the 2FA Authentication if confirmed.
