Passify

Compromised Password Alerts

If you have enabled the HaveIBeenPwned.com check in Passify's settings, Passify will check each time you re-generate a password to determine if it has been found on a list of compromised paswords. See the HaveIBeenPwned FAQ for more information.

When Passify discovers that your passord is known to be compromised, it will display an alert over the password. Tap the "Ok" button to dismiss the alert. You should immediately change your password for the given Generator. See Changing Passwords for information on how to update your passwords.

Immediately change your password if alerted! if you receive a compromised password alert, it could mean that the website in question has had a security breach.

When Generators are configured with long password lengths and a variety of Character Sets, Passify will generate robustly unique, random-looking passwords that are non-trivial if not impossible to guess.

For that reason, if you receive a compromised password alert, it could mean that the website in question has had a security breach. Change your password immediately.

See the Changing Passwords knowledgebase article for more information.
